This one took me over few days, actually weeks to complete. I am still not sure if I am going to stretch it on the frame or just clean the edges and hang as it is. If you would like to make one for your self, read my tips bellow.
I have started with dying the white linen with few teabags, to get more natural color.
The font I used is Helvetica Light, print the size you desire and trace on the tissue paper. My letters are 4 cm high, 32×25 cm is the size of whole alphabet. This fits on two 8.5 x 11 pages.
Follow the lines with your sawing machine. Keep threads long enough to pull them to the back with a needle later on. Gently tear all the paper off.
Pull the thread from the front to the back with a needle and make a not. Yes, it is a lot of work, but you will get very clean looking letters in the front.
Iron and you have your own linen alphabet kitchen towel! Hopefully after all the work you will hang it on the wall rather then use it around the kitchen. Happy crafting!
